General Snus is a popular brand of pouches that was introduced to the market in 1866. Over the years, it has become one of the best-known brands not only in Sweden, but also on markets of other European countries.

A brand with a long history

Although the General brand first appeared on the market in 1866, its history dates back to 1861. At this time, Swedish entrepreneur Johan A Boman took over the management of the tobacco company Ferd Körn. He renamed it to J. A Boman & Co and began experimenting with different raw materials to create high-quality snus. After several years of hard work, the first General products appeared on the market and were a great success.

In 1967, the General brand became part of the portfolio of Swedish Match, which also owns many other well-known snus brands such as Ettan, Göteborgs Rapé and Kaliber.

A wide range

General snus is made from 22 different varieties of tobacco, guaranteeing the best taste and the perfect experience. There are many products in the General Snus range. General Classic Loose is an original product which recipe has remained almost unchanged since 1886. If the classic packaging is not enough for you, you can also get an extra strong one.

As well you can choose from the General G.3 or One series in different flavours such as blue mint or bergamot & citrus.

In addition, you can also choose from several pouch sizes. Available are for example Classic Portion or White Portion. The latter option is characterised by a fact that the pouches have a special white surface, thanks to which both the flavour and the nicotine are released gradually.
